ALAPPUZHA: Senior congress leader K C Venugopal slammed M K Raghavan for his statement on use and throw culture of leaders in the party. He said one should express their opinions in party venues. If Raghavan had any differences of opinion, he should have aired it where it should have been said. The party will solve the differences of opinion and move forward. He said that he does not want to create a controversy on any statement.
There will be differences of opinion in our party and not saying there is none. The party has a way of resolving all differences of opinion amicably by sitting around a table. It will be resolved. Talks on reorganization are because the Congress is a democratic party. You don't ask what is happening in the CPM. No matter how far it goes, the manner of party matters being discussed outside should be avoided. Those who have opportunities in the party should speak in the party. We will resolve all differences and move forward. Broad goals are before us and not small ones.
Meantime, the KPCC will seek an explanation from M K Raghavan for his statement criticizing the leadership. Raghavan in his speech at the P Sankaran memorial meeting in Kozhikode said, ‘we fear that the party only considers praise and flattery. No one in the party is ready to say openly that the ruler has no clothes.’ The leadership had expressed dissatisfaction over his statement.
KPCC President K Sudhakaran has sought a report from Kozhikode DCC President on Raghavan criticism against the leadership.
