Menstrual and maternity leave: Kerala University issues order

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala University has issued an order granting menstrual leave and maternity leave to female students. It was the Syndicate meeting that decided to implement the government order that 73 percent attendance is enough for female students to write the exam every semester considering the menstrual period. Female students can also take maternity leave for up to six months. After that, they can rejoin the college without taking re-admission. Medical records are to be verified by principals.
