Rasmus Paludan is a Danish-Swedish politician and leader of the anti-Muslim party 'Stram Kurs'. Rasmus Paludan had said that he would come to Wakefield in Britain and burn the Quran in the streets.
Paludan responded that he is coming to Britain to fight against anti-democratic forces. Earlier, Rasmus Paludan caused controversy by burning a Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden. Paludan burned the Quran that day as a result of Sweden's dispute with Turkey. The incident happened in January.
