WAYANAD: The protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from the parliament is showing its violent side in Kerala. The Congress workers today burnt an effigy of prime minister Narendra Modi by blocking a busy road. The workers then tried to barge into the BSNL office near Kalpetta which the police resisted. The scenes went awry from this as the workers turned riotous and started manhandling the police force. The police also used the same degree back.
Meanwhile, the police registered cases against more than 300 people including the DCC president Praveenkumar after the workers tried entering the railway station in protest. RPD SI ShinojKumar who tried blocking the protest was severely injured by the congress workers.
