After the covid pandemic, China was never the same. Protest rose inside the usual hard-wired authoritarian regime as people started hitting the streets, wanting an end to the melange of rules brought in to conform with the infamous zero covid policy. Big business houses sprouted inside Chinese soil, uprooted to rival countries including Taiwan, Vietnam, and most strikingly India. IMF recently stated both India and China as the new architects of the global economy. The move was much touted in India but was treated with apprehension inside the communist regime in Beijing. On all counts, the world is contemplating an eclipse of India over China in a short span. China’s occasional belligerent moves in borders should be seen as something just like an irate neighbor taunting the other one for garnering more praise and success. However, the Indian soldiers were fair enough to reply in the same language to PLA that the skirmish attracted global attention.

The Indo-China border covers a long 3440 km. Most demarcation lines lay open with no great coverings or security deployments. China, on the other hand, is miles ahead in development laying asphalt all over the border, building bridges, proper military bases and so others. Most such roads are connected with Chinese highways making it conducive for the army to reach the borders at lightning speed in case of any ruckus. India over the years of Congress rule adopted stoicism gauging the Chinese as good friends incapable of mimicking 1962. It was only after Modi’s ascension to power that the roads started appearing across mountains that separated the country from Chinese soil.

The 20km road built-in in the Karakoram stretch near the demarcation line with China was the mainspring for the start of a melee that was unusual in all aspects. China was always cantankerous but never did they tried adopting an aggressive role with India. The fight between the forces martyred 20 Indian army officials. The Chinese casualties are still shrouded in mystery. Home Minister Amit Shah on his recent visit to Arunachal Pradesh warned the Chinese saying never to expect an inch of Indian land. Shah's adulation also fell upon the army officials as he said they are equipped with the best and can give proper responses if the neighbors meted out their usual tactics. Shah’s visit was condemned by China in a harsh manner.

China calls Arunachal as Zangnan. Beijing even name changed 11 provinces inside Arunachal breaking all ounces of the international accord. India meanwhile looks ahead with more developments solely aimed at northeastern states. The vibrant village program initiated by Amit Shah is one such which will facelift the villages in the eastern tip of India. The warning from the home minister is acute and will surely give more nightmares to the ruling regime in Beijing.
