Police to prepare list of pump owners willing to give fuel on credit

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police are preparing a list of pump owners willing to give fuel on credit. A letter was sent from the police headquarters to the unit heads asking for a list of willing pump owners. The company had stopped the supply of fuel to the police due to arrears of Rs 1.5 crore. The goal is to overcome this crisis.

Accurate information about the number of usable vehicles in the unit, the average fuel consumption of the vehicles in a month and the amount required for the same has also been sought from the units. As per the letter, the necessary time to enter into agreement with pump owners willing to lend fuel and submit report should be informed. The letter said that the number of members working in the unit for submission of fuel bills and if additional policemen are required for submission of the bill should also be informed.
