Fighter jet crashes into airbase near highway, pilot manages to eject

MADRID: An F-18 fighter jet has crashed at Zaragoza airbase in Spain by the side of a busy highway. Despite traffic on the highway, there were no casualties. The pilot of the crashed plane was able to eject before the crash and has been confirmed safe.

The accident occurred during an exhibition show for military families. Apart from minor leg injuries, the pilot reportedly suffered no other injuries. Chilling video footage of the fighter jet crashing into the military base has surfaced on the internet.
