Congress block presidents will be announced tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The final list of state congress block presidents will be announced tomorrow. The seven-member KPCC sub-committee appointed for reorganization will hand over the single-name list of the remaining seats, excluding the disputed seats, today.

The list will be handed over to KPCC president K Sudhakaran at the UDF coordination committee meeting in Ernakulam today. The top state leaders will meet today and tomorrow to finalize the list. Opposition leader VD Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and UDF convener MM Hassan will participate in the consultations. It is planned to announce the constituency presidents on June 10, after the announcement of the block presidents. This will be followed by negotiations to appoint DCC office bearers.

Kharge will arrive on the 2nd

AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on June 2. Although he is coming to attend the conclave of the India Today weekly, the state leadership is considering holding a special meeting of KPCC office-bearers in his presence.
