THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Union Minister V. Muraleedharan is poised to become the leader of the BJP legislative party in Kerala following his victory in the Kazhakkoottam constituency. A consensus on his leadership was reached during the party's core committee meeting yesterday, with the final endorsement pending from the BJP central leadership.
The BJP's newly formed legislative wing comprises three MLAs. Alongside Muraleedharan, the lineup includes BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar and District Prabhari B.B. Gopakumar.
Muraleedharan’s extensive organisational experience and seniority within the party ranks made him the clear choice for the role. A prominent face of the party in the state, he has previously served as the BJP state president and held key portfolios as the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs.
