KOZHIKODE: A man died after getting hit by Vande Bharat train in Elathur, Kozhikode. The police after preliminary check doubt it was suicide while the body is yet to be identified. Meanwhile, the authorities are ready with moves to install CCTV on the outside of the train after repeated attacks on the elite train in Kerala. Stone hurling into Vande Bharat has been reported more than a few times now. The railway also will plan arrangements in the front coach to distance away the bovine animals that trudge into the tracks unknowing of the fast-approaching train.

As of now, the authorities are closing on measures to increase the speed of the train from 90km to 110 km. The Shornur-Mangalore stretch will be used for the 110 km speed trail run. With amends made in tracks, the railway is hopeful about Vande Bharat reaching 130 km speed by the end of this year.
