IDUKKI: Chinnakanal was the giant tusker Arikomban’s fortress. The place invigorated to older ways with the relocation of the tusker to Tamil Nadu. However, the jinx over elephants in Chinnakanal is not ending anytime soon. Chakkakomban, another tusker, has forayed into the human habitat and has attacked Kumar, a resident of 301 Colony. No such news regarding the depth of injury has come out from the hospital.

Rogue Tusker Chakkakomban met with an accident just days back. Poopara native Thankaraj was traveling through the Kochi-Dhanushkodi road when the tusker came from the dark. After the hit, Chakkakomban attacked the vehicle and destroyed the front portion. A total of four including Thankaraj suffered bad injuries. According to forest officials, the injuries to the elephant were minor and nothing to worry about.
