Borewell accident: Two-year-old dies despite over 50 hours long rescue operation

BHOPAL: Two-and-a-half-year-old girl died after falling into a borewell in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. The deceased Srishti, a native of Sehore in Madhya Pradesh, fell into the borewell while playing near the house at 1 pm on Tuesday. The borewell is 300-feet deep but she got stuck at 100 feet. During the rescue operation, the baby fell again to 135 feet. After more than 50 hours of rescue operations, the baby was taken out at 5.30 pm yesterday and taken to the hospital but died. A team of robotic experts from Gujarat, along with the Army and the National Disaster Management Authority, participated in the rescue operation.
