Isolated rains predicted in Kerala till Monday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Met department has predicted isolated heavy rain is likely in the state till Monday. Northern districts are likely to receive more rainfall. Kottayam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram will receive rain at intervals. The rains are occurring as the cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal and south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coast is intensifying into a low pressure. Fishing is also not allowed on the Kerala coast. Coastal residents should be cautious as there is a possibility of high waves and rough seas along the Kerala coast.
