Hate slogans during Youth League rally: Three including 17-year-old arrested; eight people arrested so far

KASARGOD: Hosdurg police have arrested three people in the case of shouting hate slogans during the Youth League rally organized in Kanhangad. The arrested people are Naushad PM, Saaya Samir, and a 17-year-old. With this, the number of people arrested so far in the case has increased to eight. Five people, including Youth League activist Abdul Salam, were arrested yesterday in the case.

The hate slogan was raised at the Manipur solidarity rally organized by the Youth League. The Hosdurg police had registered a case against 300 identifiable activists. The action was taken on the complaint of the BJP mandalam president.

A video of the incident had circulated on social media. Many, including BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya, shared the video on Twitter and raised criticism.
