Saji Cherian corrects remark of not hearing Adhan in Saudi, explains it happened due to misinformation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Saji Cherian corrected the remark that he did not hear Adhan (call to prayer) when he went to Saudi. He explained that the remark was based on wrong information he had received. In a Facebook post, the minister requested to understand this and change the misunderstanding.

‘When I went to Saudi Arabia, I thought there would be terrible extremist people living there. Reason people are terrible extremists, and did not hear the call to prayer when went to a place. Asked about this to the person who came with me. He said that no one should hear this. They have the right to call for prayer, but what is heard outside is public nuisance. It should not be like that,' these were the minister’s words.
