THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Women's Commission Chairperson Adv P Sathidevi hoisted the national flag at the headquarters of the Kerala Women's Commission as part of the 77th Independence Day celebrations. She said that everyone should work together to preserve the personality and pride of women.
After hoisting the flag, P Sathidevi said that protection should be ensured for all those born in India to live with dignity and pride. She also said that pluralism as mandated by the Constitution should be maintained in the country.
"We must stand together to protect our secular values. We must strengthen our patriotism to overcome the challenges we are facing. Every citizen should come forward courageously to resolve the problems happening in the country," Sathidevi said.
Women's Commission member Indira Raveendran presided over the function. Commission employees, including the Women's Commission secretary, attended the program.
