Mission Indradhanush: 98 percent of pregnant women vaccinated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the first phase of vaccination drive Mission Indradhanush Mission 5.0, 75 percent of children and 98 percent of pregnant women were vaccinated. 18,744 pregnant women and 1,16,589 children up to 5 years of age were to be fully or partially vaccinated. Out of that, 18,389 pregnant women and 87,359 children were vaccinated. Those who do not get vaccinated due to inconvenience can get vaccinated at the nearest health centres on specific days.

The vaccine was administered by 4171 trained JPHNs. The vaccine was given in 10,567 sessions. The medical team also visited houses and spread awareness. The second phase will be held from September 11 to 16 and the third phase from October 9 to 14.
