THRISSUR: Two people were killed in separate clashes between various gangs in Thrissur during Onam celebrations. The murders took place in three separate incidents. The clashes happened on Wednesday evening. The deceased are Mannuthi Mulayam native Akhil and Nedupuzha native Karunamayi.
Karunamayi was taken to a private hospital in Thrissur by three persons who claimed that she met with an accident. The three fled the spot soon after she was admitted to the hospital. Upon examining Karunamayi's body, the doctors found that she was murdered. 24-year-old Karunamayi is an accused in several criminal cases.
The second murder took place in Mannuthi. Mulayam native Akhil (28) was killed during the Kummatti celebrations. It is reported that a conflict that took place following a dispute related to dancing led to the murder.
The third clash took place in Anthikkad. A man named Nimesh was seriously injured in the incident. He was stabbed by a man named Hirath.
