THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Police wants public to make use of the system of lodging complaints without going to the police station. The complaint can be registered through the official application Pol App or Thuna Portal. Complaints can be submitted using this service to offices ranging from police stations to the DGP office. The post shared on the Kerala Police's Facebook page also explains how to file a complaint online.

Steps of registering a complaint

After installing the Pol app, register with a mobile number. For this, the complainant's name, age, mobile number, Aadhaar number and full address should be provided in the first stage. Then after recording the location, date and brief description of the complaint, police station limits and the office to which the complaint is to be sent has to be selected, If there are any additional documents to be provided, they can also be uploaded.

Next, the complaint can be submitted with the details of the person (the opposing party or the suspect) against whom the complaint is being filed. Complaints to be submitted to offices ranging from the police station to the DGP office can be filed through this system.
