Actor and director Marimuthu passes away

CHENNAI: Actor and director Marimuthu passed away. He was 58. He died of cardiac arrest Friday morning at 8.30 am. He collapsed while dubbing for a TV serial. Though he was rushed to a hospital nearby, his life could not be saved.

The body presently kept in the hospital will be taken to his house in Chennai. His last film released was ‘Jailer’. He played a villain in the film.

He started his acting career in 1999. He later acted in many films. Marimuthu was a person who had established his own stand in the serial as well. Kannum Kannum released in 2008 was his first directorial debut. He is also the director of the film 'Puliwal' released in 2014.
