MUMBAI: A private jet with eight people on board skidded off the runway during landing at the Mumbai airport this evening. Two pilots and six passengers were on board. It is reported that the pilots were seriously injured in the accident. No further information is available on the health status of the others. Officials say there are no casualties.
A Learjet 45 aircraft belonging to a private company named Dilip Buildcon was involved in the accident. The flight, which took off from Visakhapatnam, landed at Mumbai airport during heavy rain. Following the accident, the runway at Mumbai airport was temporarily closed and several flights were diverted to Goa and Ahmedabad airports.
