THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Alencier Lopez who won the special jury Award, is firm on his controversial remarks made at the state film awards function. In his response to the media, he made yet another misogynist remark. He said women see man as a consumer good and will not apologize.

‘Being a film actor has only a bad reputation. If try to trap in non-existent allegations, will not get trapped. The female sculpture will not tempt me and said don’t tempt me showing a woman. Why not giving a male sculpture Women see man as a consumer good. What an insult. I don't understand the misogyny in this. I said I want a male sculpture. What is wrong in that? I have not done anything wrong. Will not tender an apology,’ clarified Alencier.

Actor’s remark
‘The award has a lot of weight. Got a special jury award. Should not insult me and Kunchacko Boban by giving Rs 25,000. The amount should be increased. It is a request. Should get a sculpture plated with gold for special jury. Don’t tempt me giving a female sculpture. The actor said should not insult by giving a female sculpture at the venue where a strong male chief minister sits. He said he will stop acting on the day of receiving a male sculpture along with the award.
