Man burns wife to death in Kollam and then commits suicide by slitting throat

KOLLAM: A man committed suicide after burning his wife to death. The incident happened at Parippally in Kollam. Nadira and her husband Rahim of Kodagu in Karnataka are the two dead. The couple were staying in a rented house in Navaikulam. Initial reports said Rahim was suspicious of his wife and this led to the murder.

The incident happened Monday morning at 9. Nadira was an employee of Akshaya Centre. Rahim, an auto driver, was an accused in many criminal cases. He was released from jail three days ago. He suspected that his wife had an extramarital affair. Rahim set her on fire when she came for work at Akshaya Centre this morning. He then slit his throat and jumped into the nearby well. His body was fished out by the fire force. The bodies of the two are kept at Paripally Medical College Hospital.
