Atlee Kumar is slowly winning Bollywood hearts. The South Indian director showed the guts to do the seldom-tried merger with North Indian heroes and roped in SRK to create the box-office blockbuster 'Jawan'. Albeit getting mixed reports, there is no stopping Jawan, as the movie is heading straight to shatter all previous box office records. Atlee is content, exuberant and has lived up to his dream directing none other than King Khan Shah Rukh Khan.
Now, amidst the buzz, Atlee in an interview said that he would consider sending Jawan to the Oscars.
“If everything falls in place we expect to reach the Academy Awards. The team eyes nothing less than Golden Globes, academy awards and national awards. Literally every award! I hope Khan sir is watching this and I will discuss with him about taking the movie to the Oscars.”
Atlee’s Oscar statement has created a ripple effect on the internet with many admirers of SRK supporting the move, while many movie buffs who were critical of the movie, scoffed at the director's farfetched dream.
