Student molested by one of the twin brothers; Police confused about whom to arrest; the accused was identified like this

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Maranallur police arrested a youth in the case of molesting a 17-year-old girl. The arrest was made under sections including POCSO. Asif (19) alias Muhammad Hasan of Shameer Manzil, Kandala Kannamkode was arrested.

Police conducted an investigation and took the twins Asif and his brother into custody on the complaint of the family. The accused was identified by the abuse victim once the twins were taken to the station. Police registered the arrest afterwards. As they were twins, it was difficult for the police to identify the accused at the initial stage. Therefore, the only option left for the police was to take both of them into custody. The accused was produced in court.
