THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty, LDF convenor E P Jayarajan and MLA K T Jaleel appeared before the Thiruvananthapuram CJM Court in the assembly ruckus case. Further investigation report was submitted in the case. The trial date of the case will be decided on December 1.

The crime branch was directed to conduct further investigation. The crime branch officials submitted the report to the court without adding any new accused. Presently six LDF leaders are accused in the case.

While the case is in the trial stage, it was decided to conduct a further investigation based on the complaint of the left women MLAs. Based on this, the crime branch has recommended to implicate two former Congress MLAs M A Wahid and Sivadasan Nair. The two will be implicated for misbehaving with former woman MLA Jameela Prakash. A charge sheet will be filed against the MLAs after a separate case is taken against them.

The then opposition MLAs created the problem in the assembly to obstruct the budget presentation of Finance Minister K M Mani on March 13, 2015, when the bar bribery scandal was raging. The opposition also destroyed the Speaker's chair. Apart from V Sivankutty, who is now a minister, the cantonment police had registered a case against MLAs including E P Jayarajan, K T Jaleel and K Ajith under sections including destruction of public property. The accused had moved the Supreme Court to get rid of the charge sheet but faced a backlash.
