THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 17 officials were given a charge memo for not attending a program attended by Minister G R Anil on Sunday. On October 15th, the minister inaugurated the district-level inauguration allocation of ration right cards to migrant workers in Pothencode.

As there was less crowd turnout for the program, the District Supply Officer issued notices to 17 rationing inspectors of Kattakkada, Varkala, Chirayinkeezhu taluk offices and North, South and City rationing offices seeking an explanation for not participating in this function. The officials have been warned that they will face disciplinary action if they fail to provide the reason within a week.

Two days before the function, a WhatsApp voice message had been sent to all the ration inspectors in the district asking them to attend the function without fail.

As the program was held in Thiruvananthapuram taluk, the officials of that region were responsible for organising it. Since the program took place on Sunday, many officials from other offices did not come.
