THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is an adage in Malayalam that perfectly fits what happened in Kannur on Saturday night. A man in inebriated condition picked up a giant python from the roadside and placed it around his neck. It was just by sheer luck that he returned to life.
Chandran, a native of Valapattanam was walking back to his home in a booze state when his eyes caught a giant python near the Valapattanam toll booth. Without any second thought, he took the dangerous python, lassoed it around his neck, and started showing acrobatics in front of people. He then walked towards the petrol pump nearby and asked the workers there to take pictures of him with the snake.
In just a moment, Chandran fell on the road and started convulsing. Initially, people around thought this as the effect of booze but the convulsing turned more ferocious which made them look into the fact that the python had tightened its grip around the man's neck. The people nearby then forced the python away from Chandran, and the giant snake went away into the wild through the nearby area.
