"Mammookka told me to not contest elections, but when he heard my reply...": Suresh Gopi

Recently, actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi said that he is moving ahead with the belief that he will win from Thrissur in the next Lok Sabha elections. He had said that he has got the pulse of the people of Thrissur and that he is willing to take responsibility of Thrissur.

Suresh Gopi has now opened up about the advice he got from Mammootty regarding his political career. The revelation was made during the promotion of his new film 'Garudan'. The actor-turned-politician said that Mammootty advised him not to stand for the election.

'If you win the election, you won't be able to live properly. You had no problem when you were a Rajya Sabha MP because there is no liability. Do this only if you can. But if I win with people's vote, everyone will be after me", Mammookka said. I replied that I enjoyed it. But then he said, "then let it be".'- Suresh Gopi clarified.
