KOZHIKODE: Congress leader MK Raghavan MP said that the Congress will move ahead with the Palestine solidarity rally that is scheduled to be held on November 23 in Kozhikode.

"We will go ahead with the program no matter what the district administration says. The event will be held at the Kozhikode beach itself. All Congress leaders, including Shashi Tharoor, will participate in the rally," Raghavan said.

"The district administration had initially taken a positive stand when we requested the venue. However, it changed its stance when we went to pay the money. It was said that the venue cannot be allowed on the beach. This is purely political. The CPM, which is criticising the Congress for not holding the Palestine solidarity rally, is not allowing it a venue. This is a double standard of CPM," Raghavan added.
