Minor girl threatened at gunpoint in Kizhakkambalam

KOCHI: A minor girl of class, who was sitting in the car was threatened at gunpoint. After threatening her at gunpoint, he tried to bring her out of the car. The Thadiyittaparambu police took into custody a 38-year-old youth in connection with it. The incident happened in Vayaloram area on the Thamarachal Bypass Road in Kizhakkambalam around 2 pm yesterday.

The girl’s father, a small businessman, came to meet his friend, who has a shop there. The man came with his daughter, who was at home as the students of her class had gone on an excursion. The girl was playing on the mobile phone and suddenly a youth on a bike threatened her with a gun. When the girl screamed loudly, he left on his Pulsar bike.
By the time the people from the nearby shop came running, the girl fell unconscious. The youth was found in an investigation conducted based on the CCTV visuals of the shop. The youth, is a native of her place. The girl said that he was wearing a mask when he came near the car and when he changed the mask to speak, his front two teeth were found missing.

The girl has identified him. When the police first questioned him, he said that he had not gone out of the house. He did not respond when showed the visuals. The investigation is progressing.
