MUMBAI: In the tense semifinal match up against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium here, India has won the toss and elected to bat. After opting to bat, the men in blue made a quick fire start by scoring 67 runs in the first 7 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front by scoring 47 runs in just 29 balls. Tim Southee gave Kiwis the much needed breakthrough by taking Rohit's wicket.

India hasn't made any changes in the team that defeated Netherlands in the last match. India lost to New Zealand in the semifinal of the World Cup in 2019 and this would be seen as their chance at redemption.
