Two held for theft, robs from one house at special time

PALODE: Thieves who regularly robbed a house have been arrested. The Palode police arrested the suspects in the case of three thefts of money and gold from Smitha's house at Panagode Mathaikonam Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram. The arrested are Abhilash (18) of Mathaikonam and Mithun (19) of Boundermukku.

When Smitha's husband, Shaju, a lorry driver goes for work, she goes to her family house with her children. The accused, who came to know this, continuously robbed the house. The accused were caught while trying to sell the gold jewelery obtained from the last theft. The accused used the stolen money for pleasure trips and to lead a luxurious life. There are no reports of the two stealing from any other house.

The accused were arrested by a team consisting of Palode circle inspector Shajimon P, sub inspectors Nisaruddin, Rahim, Udayakumar, CPOs Rajith Raj, Vineeth and Dilip Kumar. Both were produced in the court and remanded.
