CEO of online company vows Rs 100 crore giveaway to customers if India secures World Cup victory

NEW DELHI: Astrotalk CEO Puneet Gupta has declared that the company will distribute Rs 100 crore to customers if India clinches victory over Australia in the Cricket World Cup final on Sunday. Astrotalk, a prominent online astrology platform conveyed this announcement through a LinkedIn post expressing Gupta's intention to share the joy of triumph with the company's users.

Reflecting on India's last World Cup win in 2011, Gupta recalled celebrating the victory with a few friends during his college days. He highlighted the growing number of friends among Astrotalk users and aims to spread happiness among them should India secure the title.

Gupta described the 2011 victory as the happiest moment of his life, remembering a sleepless night discussing the game before the final. After India's win, he expressed his elation by hugging friends and embarking on a night bike ride in Chandigarh deeming it the most beautiful day of his life.

Ahead of the final match at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, Gupta affirmed the decision, made with his finance team to distribute Rs 100 crore to users' wallets if India emerges victorious. Notable figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi are anticipated to attend the 2 pm match.
