'Nunnumole, open your eyes'; Ann's house flooded with tears

PARAVOOR: Amidst heart-wrenching cries, the family and well-wishers of Ann Rifta affectionately known as Nunnumol gathered in sorrow as her lifeless body was transported from Paravur Taluk Hospital Mortuary to Puthanvelikkara Mary Ward English Medium School, where she had completed her education up to class 10. The Konnoth clan mourned deeply as Bishop Dr Alex Vadakkumthala led a poignant prayer service in her honour.

Visibly shaken, Rosie, Ann's grandmother called out in anguish pleading for her to wake up while Ann's father Roy Georgekutty and brother Rithul shed tears alongside others who came to pay their respects. Leaders like Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan, P Raju and numerous others bid their final farewells during the ceremony.

Later today, upon the arrival of Ann's mother Sindhu from Italy, the final rites will be performed at 1 pm at St. Joseph's Church Cemetery, Kurumbathuruthu. This marks the somber end to the journey of a beloved soul lost tragically in the Cusat disaster.
