'Those idiots ruined my health, I'm not Superman to jump and do films'; Alphonse Puthren responds

alphonse-puthren

Director Alphonse Puthren has come out criticising theatre owners. Replying to a comment by a fan on his Instagram page, Alphonse asked why he should undergo difficulties for the sake of theatre owners who opened up theatres and facilitated reviewers to review and destroy films. Alphonse also wrote that he and other writers should get proper compensation for the tears they spilt down.

"I haven't decided whether I should do feature films for theatres. Weren't theatre owners the ones who opened up the theatres and facilitated film reviewers to do reviews on their premises? Why should I suffer for them? Has any theatre owner promoted my film? They were the ones who said that my film should be released in Onam. They wanted the film to be released on the day they decided. A writer is a thousand times bigger," Alphonse wrote.

"Even though you identify me as a director and my logo..there is a small writer who sits in a room and writes for all of the technicians to work and to make cinema. And I should get proper compensation for my tears spilt down and all the writers whom theatre owners allowed to destruct. So my tears should go off slowly and all the tears of other writers too. Then Alphonse Puthran will think think. And I'm not Superman to jump and do films. I have health issues to be rectified and sorted which is pending because of the havoc these idiots created," he added.
