KOCHI: Everytime Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC battled each other, the game promised a goal fest and this time was no different. A thrilling ISL Southern derby happened on Wednesday night as Blasters came back from behind to lock Chennayin for a 3-3 draw.

Blasters were on the brink of a defeat but were pulled back into the game for some individual masterclass from Greek man Dimitrios Diamantakos. Rahim Ali (01) and Jordan Murray (13,24) scored for Chennayin in the first half and the score line at halftime was (2-3). Diamantakos returned a goal in the second half to make things level at Kochi.

With the draw, Blasters now have 17 points and are at the top of the point table. On Sunday, Blasters will face FC Goa at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao. Chennayin shocked the Kochi crowd with a goal in the first minute of the game. The goal came through a Freekick. Blasters showed might and returned to the game but was overshadowed by Chennayin’s total control of the game in the first half.
