75-year-old man attempts suicide after slitting throat of Israeli woman who lived with him; incident took place in Kollam

KOLLAM: An Israeli woman was found murdered in her bedroom. Swatva (36) alias Radha, a native of Israel, was found dead on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place at Kodalimukku near Punthalathazham in Kollam. It was Swatva's friend and yoga master Krishnachandran (75) who attacked Swatva.

After slitting the throat of Swatva, Krishnachandran attempted to commit suicide. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. His condition is said to be critical. The incident took place at around 3.30 pm on Thursday. Krishnachandran was a yoga instructor in Uttarakhand.

Krishnachandran reached Kottiyam a year ago. He told everyone that he came to Kottiyam for Ayurveda treatment. He had been living at his relative's house. It was this relative who found Swatva lying dead in the bedroom on Thursday evening. Krishnachandran was also lying in a pool of blood on the same bed. Following this, the relative immediately informed the police about the matter.
