Two pilots killed after trainer aircraft crashes in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Two pilots were killed after Air force’ trainer aircraft crashed at Medak in Telangana. The Air Force has ordered an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.

The aircraft took off from Air Force Academy at Hyderabad. A trainer and a trainer pilot were in the aircraft. Both died on the spot. An Air Force spokesperson said a Pilatus PC 7 Mk II aircraft met with an accident during a routine training sortie from AFA, Hyderabad, Monday morning.


The Pilatus PC7 Mk II is a single engine aircraft that trains Air Force pilots. The cause of the accident will be known only after investigation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh condoled the death of the Air Force personnel. He expressed his condolences to the families of the dead.
