Four arrested with ganja in Powerhouse Road in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Excise Enforcement Squad seized about 15 kg of ganja smuggled in two auto-rickshaws on Powerhouse Road. The ganja was brought to Thiruvananthapuram by train from another state and then smuggled in an auto. Four accused in connection with this were arrested on the spot.

Sajeer from Athiyannoor's Pachikode, Faisal from Vallakadav, Sharif and Ansari from Bimapalli were arrested. The autorickshaws they came in were also taken into custody.

The accused were caught nder the leadership of State Excise Enforcement Squad Head Assistant Excise Commissioner T Anikumar, the officers of the squad, IB unit and Thiruvananthapuram range party.

Excise Inspectors TR Mukesh Kumar, S Madhusudanan Nair, RG Rajesh, VG Sunilkumar, Preventive Officers Shaju, Prakash, Justinraj, Binuraj, Civil Excise Officers M Visakh, K Muhammadali, P Subin, Rajith KR, Shankar, Krishnakumar, Sarath, Women Civil Excise Officer Ajithakumari, Excise drivers K Rajeev and Vinoj Khan Sett were also present.
