Director Jeo Baby has lashed out at the authorities of Farook College in Kozhikode for cancelling an event after inviting him as a guest to inaugurate the event. Jeo Baby expressed his outrage through his Instagram page. Earlier, the director was invited as a guest for a program organized in connection with the film club of Farook College.
In his Instagram video, Jeo Baby said that the college authorities called him and informed him about the cancellation of the program only after he reached Kozhikode to participate in the program. Additionally, he claimed that the college administration had not provided him with a clear explanation for the event's cancellation.
"They had even released the poster of the program on social media. Although I sent an email to the college principal asking the reason for cancelling the event, I haven't received any reply for it. I even tried to contact the principal through WhatsApp but to no avail. Later, I got a letter from Farook College's student union regarding this issue. It was forwarded to me," Jeo Baby said.
"The letter stated that the remarks made by the person coming to inaugurate the event to be held in connection with the Film Club functioning in the college were against the moral values of the college. Hence the Farook College student union will not be cooperating with the above-mentioned program. So, the student union is saying that my moral values are the problem. I need to know why the management cancelled the event. It takes one day to travel to Kozhikode and come back. On top of that, I have been humiliated. I will take legal action in the matter," Jeo Baby added.
