Complaint against health activist for sexually abusing girl in Kozhikode Beach Hospital 

KOZHIKODE: A complaint has been filed against a health activist for sexually abusing a girl at the Government Beach General Hospital in Kozhikode. She was abused when she came for physiotherapy on Wednesday. The Vellayil Police have registered a case against him on the complaint of the girl's father. The police informed that the accused Mahendran is an employee who was transferred to this hospital from another district.

The girl has been coming to the hospital for physiotherapy for a month. She was usually treated by a woman health activist. When she came on Wednesday, the woman activist was doing physio to another person. So, a male health worker attended on her. In between the treatment, he abused her. When she came for physiotherapy on Thursday, she informed the female health worker about it. The hospital authorities immediately informed the police. The police collected statement from her.

The accused is on the run. A case has been registered against the accused under sections Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 75 (1), 76 and 79.
