Over 17,000 lives lost as Israel-Hamas conflict crosses two months

TEL AVIV: It has been two months since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, and more than 17,000 lives have been lost. Around sixteen people have been killed in Gaza by Israel's attack. People in Gaza are fighting death everyday without food, water, treatment or shelter. Out of total 35 hospitals, 26 are not functioning.

The war began when Hamas invaded Israel by land, sea, and air at 6:30 a.m. local time on October 7 in retaliation for the Israeli army's entry into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem. It started with rocket and missile attacks. Hamas entered Israel and killed everyone on sight and took hundreds of hostages to Gaza. With the start of Israel's counter-attack, northern Gaza collapsed.
