Most googled Cricketer, most searched Athlete; Google with 25 year search engine history; Messi not the topper from football

MUMBAI: Former Indian captain Virat Kohli holds the record of being the most Googled cricketer in the last 25 years. Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are also Indian players who have made it to the list. On Tuesday, search engine giant Google released a list of the most searched topics in their 25-year history.

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo tops the list of other sports stars including football. Rono has achieved the record of being the most searched sportsperson on Google in the last 25 years. Although Messi is ahead in many achievements on the field, Rono is the star on the internet.

India's young star Shubman Gill is the most Googled cricketer in 2023. New Zealand player Rachin Ravindra and Aussie player Travis Head are also included in the 2023 list.
