ABVP member in police custody for sending threatening messages with weapon images

PATHANAMTHITTA: An ABVP member named Mahesh has been apprehended by the police at Chenneerkkara ITI, Pathanamthitta. The incident occurred amidst ongoing union elections at the college. Mahesh allegedly sent threatening messages containing images of deadly weapons in a college WhatsApp group. Screenshots of the messages have surfaced indicating Mahesh's involvement by sending pictures captioned as "tools are loading."

In a separate incident at Pandalam NSS College also in Pathanamthitta, a clash erupted between SFI and ABVP activists during a Christmas celebration. The clash resulted in student injuries prompting the cancellation of the Christmas program by the college principal. Upon police arrival, students dispersed in various directions back to the college campus to avoid intervention.
