One soldier dead, one injured in militant attack in Manipur

IMPHAL: Militants targeted army personnel in Manipur's Moreh around 4 am today. One soldier died in the incident and another person has been injured. National media also reported that the assailants opened fire using rocket propelled grenades (RPGs).

Security has been tightened in the area following the attack. In the wake of the earlier attack on the Ima Kondong Lairembi IRB post, the soldiers were at the Dekhunai Resort in the building that houses the SBI Bank. The injured soldier has been admitted to a nearby medical college hospital.
