AYODHYA: The iconic Ram Temple in Ayodhya was opened to devotees from all over the world following the Prana Pratishtha of the Ram Lalla. Tens of thousands have reached the temple premises since three in the morning today. Visitors can enter the temple from 7 am to 11.30 am and from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Devotees are flocking to the temple regardless of the weather to see the 51-inch tall Ram Lalla idol designed by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj. Devotees are standing in long queues chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan. Officials said that 500 people can enter the temple at the same time. They said that arrangements will be made in such a way that every devotee who visits the temple on a given day can have darshan.

Yesterday, the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (UP-PAC) band had played patriotic songs on the streets of Ayodhya. Lights were lit in every house in a manner similar to Diwali. Lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the temple. The temple authorities said that all the necessary arrangements have been made.
