Director General of Prosecution orders probe in suicide case of assistant public prosecutor Aneeshya

KOLLAM: The Director General of Prosecution has ordered an inquiry into the death of Assistant Public Prosecutor Aneeshya of Paravur Munsif Court. The report should be submitted within two weeks. It is alleged that mental torture by her superiors led to her suicide. The order has asked to examine all these things in detail.

The Director General of Prosecution of the High Court T A Shaji, has been directed by the Deputy Director of Prosecution at the headquarters to submit the fact-finding report. It is reported that in addition to mental harassment at her workplace, she also faced threats. Relatives also alleged that she faced threats of transfer.

A voice recording, believed to be that of Aneeshya before her suicide had surfaced. The voice message said that she was facing pressure from her superiors and colleagues. Five emotional voice messages were out. Aneeshya in her message said that all evidences have been written and prepared.

Aneeshya was found hanging from the bathroom window of her house the other day. The Paravur police have registered a case of unnatural death.
