THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Political parties are mired in serious work to bring new votes for the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. According to the revised voter list, 5.74% of people are exercising their right to vote for the first time. The political parties will closely stick together with these new voters and will cajole them for votes until they reach the polling booth.
Apart from this, the campaign to bring the youth to their side will be intensified through social media. Parties will assign a special social media campaign team to create captivating videos and posters to lure youth to their side.
Young people averse to politics often cast their votes after judging the candidate purely on his individual charisma. CPM is at the forefront of finding new supporters and adding votes. BJP is on a promising run and is sure to start their account from this election in Kerala. They have started work to increase vote share within Kerala. Congress is also working systematically at the booth level.
Since young voters are getting involved in politics these days, there is an active movement to take suggestions from them and include them in the manifesto.
