KALPETTA: A tiger that was terrorizing the Kolagappara Churimala region in Wayanad was caught in the trap set by forest officials on Saturday. This same tiger put the region in fear after it killed a domestic calf just days back and was on the prowl for more.
This tiger had killed four domestic animals in the last three months. In a major relief for the locals, the wild beast was finally caught in a cage set up by forest officials The tiger has been shifted to a wildlife sanctuary in Kuppadi. The tiger even killed a milch cow owned by a local farmer named Rajan.
This tiger is identified as ‘Wayanad South 09’ which is doubted to have earlier prowled in the Sisi region of Wayanad.
